During the CSK vs. RCB IPL 2024 opening, Virat Kohli gave Rachin Ravindra a tongue-lashing in an X-rated farewell.

MA Rummy Perfect Stadium in Chennai hosted an exciting match to launch the Indian Premier League 2024. The reigning champion Chennai Super Kings defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru by a score of six wickets after chasing down 174 with eight balls remaining.

The 95-run partnership between Anuj Rawat and Dinesh Karthik at the sixth wicket enabled RCB to rally from a catastrophic top-order collapse and lift the visitors to 173 for six. The hosts lost wickets frequently despite player Rachin Ravindra and captain Ruturaj Gaikwad getting off to a quick start in reply.

However, Ravindra Jadeja and Shivam Dube’s undefeated 66-run partnership allowed CSK to mount a late push into the chase, allowing the five-time champions to get off to a great start in 2024.

With three boundaries and three sixes in 15 deliveries, Rachin scored 37 runs in seven overs to help Betway exceed Gaikwad’s 15-ball score in just seven overs. However, Karn Sharma’s inventiveness allowed RCB to reply.

Rachin dived on one knee in an attempt to match the leg spinner’s quicker delivery, but Rajat Patidar managed to collect the ball at deep backward square.

As Karn took the vital wicket, the Royals exhaled with relief. The cameraman did manage to get a video of an enraged Kohli waving Rachin a finger and spitting in an X-rated farewell.

Cameron Green took out Daryl Mitchell and the former Indian vice captain in the space of two overs, while Rahane attempted to revive CSK. Due to the early pressure being removed at the crease by Dafabet and Jadeja breaking away in the slog overs, Chennai was able to finish the chase in 18.3 overs.
